Like a stillborn dream in the flame The sky in crimson haze A mortal creature ‘Rapt in fear Traversed the desolate sands Seeking out the anointed hierophants Deep in a cavernous maw Devoid of all guiding light Vile incantations Subjugating the air One thousand ages of life and death Awaken and arise Their dark oppressor In the gathering dusk The armies of Rah Surround the wretched apparition That ethereal beast in thrall By command of a nameless enemy Buries their weak designs in its ashes He came up from the shadows That priest from the land of the dead By the strength of his sacred name Was created his temple In the center there rose An obsidian sepulchre That prison of earthly design No longer his cage Realization Consuming This power Shall be mine Hearing voices They call to me In slavery They waste away Those servants of the light In chains searching for the key To the nexus of the web beyond the blind. Withered by age The priest died on a golden throne In death was a kind of peace For all but the meek That mortal creature Who’d warned of their tragic fate Followed a path of blight To the base of a mountain In the cradle of creation Free from the ravages of time A black tome hidden among the old stones Speaking in the tongues of aeons A siren’s song A speaker of all truth and all lies And the Mortal creature heard it and wept Realization Consuming This power Overtakes me Leaving me insane My burden The weight of my soul I dig my own grave And let it swallow me The black tome source of my agony

At the Hour of Midnight Temptation’s Snare Charnel Abyss in Darkness He dare not breathe Its’ air On the Precipice of Vanquished Reason The Acolytes Impaled The Sacred Garden, left in ashes, Corrupts the Earth The Priest in Waiting Prepares the Rite He alights upon the Throne Oblivious to the Serpent That Cold Minion of the Night Who, locked in Torpor, stares Waiting to strike A Pathway Between the Space of Life and Death In a Corner of his Mind The Golden Tree Enshrined in Requiem Her Branches now Decayed Standing lonely atop The Stones Stepping over The Dead He makes his way Hewn from the Trenchant Chasm Of the First Lives Where Lies the Final Branch That Heirophant Now Expired Mystic Essence Absent Unbound His Wretched Earthly Form Decays In Silence In Despair This Power No longer in His Grasp In Dismay This Hour Peradventure is His Last In deception This Failure Shall not to Light be Cast Denied This Reign Bereft of Reason Shattered the Anvil of His Heart Relegated to Obscurity Beneath a Pall of Malediction His Incantations Antiquated Seething with Venomous Hate Cimmerian Darkness scars the Air The Ages Speak to Me Who now shall take command The Rites of Ascension Screaming for Sacrifice The Architects of the Nexus

I awoke into darkness A Shade in the Depths Frozen, the blinding progress of time Cruel and vicious shackles Tearing me from reason For I raised Legion from slumber To strike at the the heart of light As the day of fire came The Fallen Knelt Before Me Upon the fire altar Flames crawling as snakes Crushing the Seal of the Dead God Ashen effigies, nothing to me Look upon my descent Gaze upon my disgrace A pale shroud overtakes me Stripped of my Sacred Name I now bear my shame and torment Like the cross of the Nazarene. Beaten and Rent Asunder, torture of the soul That Demonic forces ply My Remains are cast off Consumed; the flesh that was mine Flesh that was mine The remnants of my earthly essence Are flayed away Stripped of the power to decide I must serve the Might of Legion We the Dark Messiah failure now shall be Strength that is mine Yet I Suffer Oh Dark Messiah Failure now shall be Strength that is mine No Salvation Awaits

A Nameless Creature Appears at this Hour of Midnight With Eyes as Black as Earth upon Me Like a Ravenous Beast, Insane from Hunger Why do You Persist in the Growing Darkness Like a Moth unto The Flame Under the Moon of the Witching Hour I am come to Discern Thy Craft A Dark Rite from the Ancient Masters That Some attest You Possess and Perform And if, indeed, They tell no lies, I would have You raise The Dead to Speak Conjure Up Your Flames See beyond That Veil Where the Shades Reside For to hear that Ethereal Threnody And if, indeed, They impart Their Secrets Communicate Fates End for Me Oh why do you tempt me? Do you wish Me Burned Alive By Your Own Hand All Seers and Prophets in The Land have Died Take heed My Words Death will not take You You shall Live the rest of Your Days Decadent in splendor Prophets from the Eastern Vale Whose Hearts wept Beneath The Cleaving Edge of his Blade Arise! Seers from the Western Wasteland Broken and Tortured by His Command Arise! Mad Visionaries swinging from His Gallows still Arise! Northern Witches of the Pale Forest In the Ashes of His Pyre All Arise! Oh Prophets! Visionaries! Madmen! Once More Like Sand on The Shore Wash in from Darkness Through Me They Speak You find Your Death in Battle Shall Rise Up out of Your Shell On a Stairway of Blood No! On Your Lips, Deceit In Contempt I hold You Now The End of This Charade Your Liar’s Tongue my Blade Anoint At the Wailing Wall I will Leave You Cold and Grey Exposed to the Sky for Birds of Carrion That Dark Creature of the Night Blinded by Rage and Fury Drew High The Judgment Blade To Strike to Kill The Witch She Knew the Signs Felt the Call of Destiny By the Summoning Firelight Shew Drew a Cursed Dagger Drove it deep into His Heart
